Chess engines#

I've started playing chess at a young age - and I've hated it! My dad used to always win and tease me: ["C'est dur, hein?"](https://translate.google.com/?sl=fr&tl=en&text=c'est dur, hein?&op=translate)

However, this didn't demotivate me. I wanted to beat him so bad, so I kept playing. Finally, after a couple years passed, one game, I actually won!

Since then, I've never lost again to him!

To capture the essence of that feeling, I started building chess engines of my own. I wanted them to be better than me. And so, it began...

WiCE#

WiCE (Wi's Chess Engine) is my first attempt at a chess engine. It is an old (unsupported) project that was more of a proof of concept.

The engine is fully operational and has an estimated ELO rating of 1800.

Read more about it here.

ADLE#

ADLE is the successor of WiCE, a completely new project. It was from the ground up to play Crazyhouse instead of normal chess.

The project is not yet available online due to still on going development efforts. However, you can read more details about it here.

😊  What does ADLE stand for?

The acronym actually stands for Average D-Lang Ejoyers, a team name that I've used throughout university in various projects and competitions, usually alongside my school friend, Matei-Ștefan Ionescu (@Matei77).
